Originally crafted in 1976 by my grandfather, an Ohio native, this beachside haven was crafted from dreams of sailing amidst the warm Gulf waters and Florida sunshine.
Our family began making regular vacations to Florida in the 1970's, where boating, fishing, and time in the Sun lead to dreams of living & sailing in paradise forever. Eventually these regular trips became permanent with my grandparents building their dream home, what is now Harbor House, for retirement.
With my grandparents permanently relocated to Florida, regular trips to Florida continued as relaxing getaways and temporary escapes from the northern winters.
As a youngster, visiting my grandparents with my father are some of the best memories. Coming to Florida from Ohio was a whole new world as a little boy...The ocean, the nature, the wildlife, and all of the watersport activities kept a smile on my face for days on end.
Through my father's ownership and now under my own care, IRB Harbor House has flourished into an irresistible escape, representing the essence of coastal living at its finest. Immerse yourself in the laid-back charm of island life, just as my family has for generations. Continuing my father's tradition of hospitality—welcoming friends and family from near and far—my own passion is to share this idyllic setting with fellow travelers.
